DESIGN+BUILD PROJECTS BY CLEMSON COMMUNITY BUILD
The woodshop was already packed to the brim with wood and steel fabrication for our studio project. On top of the main studio project, we are doing an additional mini project for a North Charleston non-profit (Metanoia) exhibit that features mini structures with various themes. Though our storage space is dwindling, we would not give [...]
Kaden was correct! I will tell you what had happened in our Friday review for our studios individual designs. These reviews serve more as client meetings than anything, meaning that what we gather from it to continue our efforts toward one cohesive design for the semester is arguably more important than what our partners at [...]
A few weeks ago we were able to take some time out of our busy schedules and revisit last semester's project, Ardmore Park; where we installed a green roof with almost 200, 1' x 2' planter boxes filled with succulents. We carried each one up a ladder and installed them onto a roof that was [...]

An outdoor experience and hands-on building projects are the reason a lot of us joined Studio V and now [...]
We have officially made it through the Final Design Review and we are all excited about the positive feedback that we received from Green Heart. Some of the highlights from the review were that they loved the look and feel of our design. They said that it feels like a farm stand and love that [...]
We're back in Charleston and BACK IN ACTION. For the next week we will be working in small groups of 3 to push designs for the Farm Stand. Over the last week we skype'd during our "hurri-cation" to make sure we were all on the same page. Come Monday, we shared our designs and diagrams [...]
This past weekend we made a great deal of progress on site. With all columns, beams, and rafters in place, the main structure was finally completed. This was an exciting moment as it gave us an actual sense of what the pavilion will be like, which is a bit larger than anticipated, but that was [...]
