The stairs at our center here in Charleston are very narrow, which will come to no surprise to those that have studied in this building. After struggling to move 14′ long pieces of lumber up these stairs, members of the studio had to get crafty and find another way to get the wood up to the second floor from our basement shop.
Our solution was to open one of the large windows of the studio building and to lift the wood up from the adjacent street. This proved to work very well, so we continued and eventually all of the wood found its new home in the CACC studio.
Now to construct the mock up for our review on Cinco de Mayo! We are excited to show the final product of our work from this semester. Despite many setbacks, we are starting to see how this structure will look in the end.
