The group has been making steady progress as we get close to wrapping up the semester. Yesterday we continued working on a variety of tasks. We just received structural updates from John Moore on the project with the Conservancy of the Sea Islands. With this information, we aim to apply the corrections to our construction documents so that we transition well into the upcoming building phase this fall. One group was able to finish a bench for Stephen Washington and brought it to the site for field verifications. Meanwhile a group of us continued grinding, sanding, welding, and painting the remaining portions of the table and benches. In the middle of this, everyone has also been finalizing their work for their non-profit organizations who we will be hosting this coming Monday. This will be a time for us to share the work we have been doing with our non-profits. A lot to finish and we’re excited to see what comes of it!
