The group is working together in shifts of 4-5 people to finish the table and benches for Stephen Washington Park. Yesterday, the morning shift made serious progress on bench 1, beveling and welding it together.
The afternoon shift worked on grinding down the bench and priming the table that was finished being welded on Monday.
The closing shift wrapped up these various tasks of the day such as finishing grinding, priming, and cleaning up. One hiccup of the closing shift was needing to make one of the holes on a piece that was already welded into an 1/2″ hole for the bolt. This was a challenge but after trying out a few different option we were able to hand drill it larger. After figuring that out, we were able to clean the bench and apply the anti-rust spray on it.
We’re staying on the grind to make progress towards finishing Stephen Washington.
