On Thursday we all met up at City Lights Eastside for our weekly book club. We discussed the books let my people go surfing by Yvon Chouinard, and Raising the Bar by Gary Erickson. While we’re split about half and half between the two books, both offer valuable insight into the business world, and many of their ideas feel easily transferable to the field of architecture. We had some great discussions and even had a little guest join in!
As far as studio news, our presentation on Wednesday went really well. We still have a few questions for the Conservancy before moving into our final large-group design phase, so we’re planning to meet with them this afternoon to gain a bit more clarity.
