Schemin’ & Dreamin’

Studio began with a design charette for the project in Eric Cornelius Singleton ll Park. Everyone was split into 3 groups of five and given 30 minutes to create a scheme on the site for the community garden and pavilion that we’re looking to design and build. After the 30 minutes, we gathered to discuss which schemes were similar and broke off into those groups to create a final scheme that we will present to the City of Charleston, Charleston Parks Conservancy, & The Green Heart Project on Friday. The idea behind our charette was to come up with ideas that we can share to start the design process for the park while considering its current use and what its use could look like in the future.

Earlier this week the studio broke off into teams to complete the nametags for PLI, which is today (2/9), finish spray mounting the images for the mural and begin mounting them to the wall. Below are in progress images and final images of the mural and nametags.
