On Thursday, February 9th, the President’s Leadership Institute (PLI) of Clemson University came down to the Clemson Architecture Center Charleston (CACC) in the Cigar Factory to visit Clemson architecture’s Charleston fluid studio. Consisting of President Jim Clements and a cohort of faculty from Clemson University, including both Jim Stevens and Dan Harding of Clemson architecture, this trip also commemorated the 35th anniversary of the CACC.
Graduate students at the CACC worked tirelessly for a good three weeks in order to prepare for this event, and to showcase the updated works of the students. Some of this hard work included a beautiful puzzle of nametags that showcased the Charleston peninsula in the background. This event also consisted of tours of the Clemson Architecture Center, given by the graduate A+CB students, MRUD and MSHP, as well as a couple of undergraduate architecture students.
All in all, this event was a great success in showcasing to the PLI the hard work, the creativity, the thought, and the commitment that the CACC puts into the numerous students that come through any of the programs available at the CACC.
