Last week was a big week for us. We got to go onto site for the first time since last semester, we finalized some final design elements, and we got to use the shop to build some models!
In order to decide what designs we wanted to choose for the trellis and moveable walls, we trekked down to the shop and got our hands dirty. Kylee had a design for the moveable walls that was a contender for the final design, so Kylee, Shane, Malu, and I went down and got to work. I got to use the Goo Machine (steel cutting machine) while Malu welded. Luckily we had learned how to cut and weld steel last semester, however many things were still learned. In order to wrap up the model we had to figure out how to bend steel to weave through the wooden slats.
