After coming back from Thanksgiving break, our studio is focused on finishing up our build work in the shop so that we can start assembling on site. Right now, we’re working to finish the columns; we’ve cut them, drilled the holes for bolts, cut a slot for knife plate connections, and have put on our first coat of paint. We also have a crew working in the metal shop to prepare all of the metal framework for our bench seating and picnic tables. Our next step is to have a few people learn how to weld so that we can assemble the frames in our shop and then bring them out to site, hoping to start building on site this weekend!
