In the last few days, our studio has split into two groups; one focusing on the structural integrity of the pavilion, and the other focusing on producing construction documents to build the secondary portion of the Community Build studio’s project from last semester. Myself and the others in the CD production group split ourselves up, each of us creating drawings for one portion of this project. The portion that is yet to be built consists of three 10 foot tall connected walls spanning 24 feet in length, with a laser-cut detail of a large tree on the front face. Currently, we are editing the existing Revit model to produce accurate construction documents. Once we have the completed drawings we will use the wood shop to produce the materials.
On another note, Clemson foundation members visited the Cigar Factory today, taking a look at all the different groups of students and their respective projects. The Community Build studio had the opportunity to present our work and goals for the semester to these members.

Liam,
I think there may be a little disconnect here. There are 10 of us who worked very hard on this project (including one who was working on it last week) and I will speak for the group when I say that what I read from this blog post was ‘clean up and re-do last years unfinished mistakes.’ Sure, that is out of context but why don’t you give me a call and perhaps we can explain a couple things that may clarify what you are confused about? I feel confident we can definitively point you in the right direction. This is now your project but it is also still ours and we want to make sure we can do everything we can to help.
