After the big push to send our structural engineer, John Moore, our first round of construction drawings, we spent yesterday and will continue today redlining and coordinating with John on structural details. We have identified that not only do we have a big CD Set due by the end of the week, we also are prepping documents for our permit set, material counts, and shop drawings so that once we return from Spring Break, we can hit the ground running on construction.
In this process, we are learning just how important it is to have all hands on deck. In order to make this a successful week where all our tasks and responsibilities are completed, we need everybody on their “A” game to make this big push! This studio reminds us just how important it is to meet a deadline and get a glimpse of what it will be like in the future firms we work for.
The excitement is building as we are receiving hand drawings of suggestions for our structural details and the next round of implementation is beginning. Over the next week, we will continue our coordination with John on the structure so we can produce the best CD Set to be summited for approval while we are all taking a much-needed break.
