Movin’ & Groovin’

Today the studio split into two crews. My group went to the site to measure out where the pavilion would be. This involved four of us stretching tapes out and re-adjusting everything so it makes a perfect square and sits well between the trees. We had to hammer rebar into the dirt to mark spots where the backhoe needs to dig. In the cover photo you can see the joy on Madison’s face as she acts out hitting Hunter over the head with the hammer. We can no longer say there weren’t any signs.

Over the weekend, the studio was able to use the new tongue and groove cutter bit to cut a tongue and groove into the roof decking for the pavilion. Now that all the boards have been cut, the second half of the studio is working on applying the stain to all the boards. After that is done they will cut the edge condition into all of the boards, which gives the under-facade an angled appearance where each board connects.
