This past week has been a grind, as we all make a final push in all of our classes. History essays, mappings, internship papers and community 1:1 projects have been the priority of our nights, while building the pavilion at Plymouth Park has been our focus during the days. I was not personally on site today, because I have conveniently caught a nasty cold which I’d hate to pass on to everyone else. However, yesterday myself and others were in the process of using the nail guns to nail the cedar shakes into the purlins on the roof of the structure. This process has taken longer than expected, but I was surprised to hear that today the remainder of the roof has been completed and all shingles have been installed.
Tomorrow, the group plans to install a wooden cap at the opening of the two roofs. Stay tuned for photos of this tomorrow.
