Put a Roof On It

As of yesterday, all of our purlins have been attached onto our structure, and now we wait for the cedar shake shingles to arrive! As a crew continued to work on setting the purlins, Anna and I headed over to Old Towne Creek with David to work some finishing touches with stain on the donor wall and the pavilion structure. When we arrived back at Plymouth Park, all of the purlins had been put up on the roof. Then we cut the ends off the purlins to give us our 18″ roof overhang, and finished the day with some painting to freshen up the structure. We’re so close to finishing the project and ending the semester, and I’m looking forward to our review next Friday!
