Good Morning!
This week, we have been hard at work finishing details and beginning production! Steel is being cut and prepped for welding and will soon be sent off to paint. Autumn and I were given the task of building some drying racks for the metal to be placed on once painted, and we spent the majority of the day on Wednesday finishing that. The rest of the team were split up to finish drawings and produce more cuts. Ayla and I also looked at adding a pop of color to the trellis to create a different experience within the pavilion. We applied masking tape to the trellis mockup and settled on a design. Yesterday, we picked out Montessori paint! We want this pavilion to be an educational environment but also act as a peaceful area for the students and faculty to relax. The subtle earth tones of the Blues and Greens along with the pop of yellow will provide a calming effect and lighten the sturdiness of the structure.
