We’re in the end credits scene of the semester. Today we have our Community 1:1 breakfast presenting posters of our nonprofit work and the Cigar Factory closing social displaying projects from other classes. We’re still waiting to hear if the City of Charleston can provide a more powerful generator to complete the welding job out at Stephen Washington Park. Construction documents are nearly complete but still needing final feedback on details from John the engineer.
Overall, I think we’re pleased with the pavilion design from this semester and excited to see it become a reality in the Fall, barring the heat and car-sized mosquitos, but that’s nothing some shade and Deep Woods Off can’t solve! I hope everyone enjoys personal projects in the wood shop, full-time paychecks, good food, and the occasional estate sale over the summer (check out the print I found the other day for only $20!).
