This week in studio, we’ve been preparing for our first concrete pour which will be for our pavilion’s slab. We’ve spent the weekend and the early parts of. this week prepping our site by digging out the area that the slab will be in, and then laying out the rebar. We’ve also had a crew working back in the shop to prepare for our second pour that will happen next week, which will be for our concrete piers that will catch our inner columns, and help support our built-in tables. We’ve been building the formwork for those piers back in the shop, and will have them ready to go while we wait for today’s pour to set.
