FINALLY STARTING – with a late start to our schedule we have to kick it in gear and get working fast.
Last Wednesday marked the official start of our studio with shop training! David provided us with an overview to get us ready to complete Singleton. We all came out with our beautifully crafted and square pieces of wood.
Last Friday, we toured all the previous sites. This week, we will commence our precedent studies and research for this year’s project.
Visiting past projects was highly valuable for assessing materials, ground connections, and possible assembly methods that can serve as inspiration. The projects all still looked fabulous, and we were excited to see the amount of love and craftsmanship evident in each one. Since the beginning of this semester, anticipation has been building among us, eager to dive into the project. We are all ready to start working hard, finishing up Singleton, and shaping the design of the next project.
