As we continue to resolve and refine the final details of our design this week, we have moved into Revit as we are now in the process of creating our construction document set. Yesterday during studio we met with Ryan, a local exotic and hardwood supplier, who provided us with some valuable information in regards to material cost for different sizes and types of wood. This information, in addition to the feedback provided by our structural engineering consultant, John Moore, last week will help us in determining the correct sizes of the different structural components of our design and which ones will prove to be the most cost effective as we work within the constraints of our budget.
