And so it begins…

Up until yesterday in the build we have only had to reinforce the chassis and build a full scale corner detail mockup. There had been no building of structure on the chassis. Yesterday, Nicholas Caro was the first man to begin the official construction on the CropStop, documented in this photo of him screwing the first floor joist to the chassis.

Of course, we realized 20 minutes later that specific board was put in the wrong place and had to be taken out. But, after all, this is a learning process. What we accomplished yesterday in 4 hours could be completed in 2, most likely, if we had to do it all again. Professor Pastre told us that working as a team in these next few weeks will be critical if we want to maximize our time. Today, we realized how true that was.

Also, I have an updated render of the CropStop in a more finalized step of the design. This is not the official finalized render as a few things have changed in the last week since I updated it over Spring Break.
