After a round of riveting summer adventure tales from my classmates, we got right back to work on our first day back in the design studio class. The first order of business was to figure out all that we needed to do to complete out build before the end of the semester. This involved setting up a calendar, dividing the work among the class from where we left off, and fantasizing about all of the terrible things that could go on over the course of the semester to make sure that we are prepared if they do end up happening.
Those things could include weather delays, material delay, delayed agreements or permitting… so mostly just a lot of delays. This is always a concern when thinking about the time frame of work being bounded to a semesters schedule. Nonetheless, this is why we think about these things now.
