I don’t know why my blog post always seems to fall just before review, but it does! On Wednesday, we will be presenting our small group designs to the Kiawah Conservancy (now called the Conservancy of the Sea Islands). I’ve been working with Nate and Tyler on a design incorporating a trailhead, educational/social pavilion, and market stands into a single structure oriented around a gathering space. We laser cut and began assembling a physical model of the design from 12:00-9:00 on Sunday (with a short break to hit up Heavy’s Barburgers) and it’s nearly complete!
Wish us luck as we begin producing plans, sections, diagrams, and renders. We’re excited to see how everyone’s designs turn out and even more interested in hearing what the Conservancy will have to say! In the meantime, enjoy the new leaf my Swiss cheese plant put out in studio looming above our model:
