Hey guys, meet the office dog, Luna!! At the beginning of my internship, I made it a goal to become Luna’s favorite in the office. while I may not be her favorite,, YET, I am for sure making progress! I have established a routine of playing fetch with her every morning while I get settled and ready for the day.
Recently I have been placed on two projects – the first one is primarily red lines to get the project ready for 90% submittal, but the second one is the most exciting! We are at SDs, redesigning/adding a new entry/drop off space for an existing high school. I took the chance and created my own sketches to bring to meetings to help in a design charrette to continue pushing design.
To the right you can see two of my quick sketches. they are building off of a butterfly roof concept brought up from another colleague that I continued into this section of the building. These sketches are now slightly outdated because we had the design meeting today, but I think we are sticking with the butterfly roof concept and doing multiple at the corner, rather than one singular large addition. Its been exciting to participate and make an impact on design, and I am very exciting to see the project progress through the semester!
