Forging Brilliance – Where Grit Meets Design

In the heart of Charleston’s Old Towne Creek Park, 10 of us are crafting more than just a pavilion—we’re shaping a community. This project, part of Clemson’s Community Build Program, began with individual designs that evolved into collaborative concepts presented to the Parks Department, receiving great feedback both times.

After rigorous sessions, we finally settled on a singular design between all 10 of us, and now we’re working as a real firm. Each member focuses on specific aspects, from landscaping to building codes. It’s been intense, but our excitement keeps us going strong.

This project isn’t just about construction; it’s about connection. It embodies the power of design to enrich lives and strengthen communities. As the pavilion nears completion, it stands as a symbol of collective action and the enduring spirit of community engagement. In its shade, future generations will gather, continuing the legacy of collaboration that defines this remarkable endeavor.
