Crunch Time

We are reaching the finish line of our first semester! Excitement is high as the final design of the pavilion is coming together. We still have a long way to go but the end is in sight and everyone is working so well together and producing exciting work. Each student is working individually or in pairs to work out and design specific details of the pavilion.

The giving tree is what Clay and I are focusing on, a 24-foot wide and 10-foot high structure displaying donors of the park. In addition to studio work, each student is busy completing their non-profit projects and creating boards for our internship class. It has been a challenging semester, but with spirits high, everyone is pushing through to see their hard work shine.

As the final weeks approach, there is a sense of excitement to see our designs presented. Summer is so close and I think everyone is dreaming of relaxation and some beach days. I am proud to be apart of such a talented group of 10 – each student is hard-working and brings a unique perspective and knowledge to the project. It can be difficult designing together but everyone seems very respectful and open-minded through designing with a group of 10 students with strong design skills.
