Hello all,
Long time no talk. We are back in class today after our much-needed Thanksgiving break. Many of us went home and got to spend time with our families.
Many chaotic events that happened during this break, including me getting pulled over!!

But, William Scott takes the medal for craziest story.
Sunday, I got to interview him. The conversation went like this.
Me: How was your thanksgiving?
William: Decent. We ain’t going back to my uncles next year, my mama said.
Me: oh.. why?
William: “Because she said its frustrating she brought 95% of the food and when we get there everyone acts like they don’t know us. Then my aunt wants to act like shes all this and that because shes gettin’ her PHD, and she was also talkin bout she has a job and has no time to cook. Then she was whisperin’ into my uncle Michael’s ear all day…. But she calls me her favorite nephew, so i usually don’t intervene.”
Me: “What was the craziest thing that happened?”
William: “Well let me start from the begginin’. My uncles dog (german shepherd) (they live on a farm- so there’s a lot of animals) bit George’s (cousin’s pug) neck. And my cousin was throwin’ a fit. She was going on and on about the vet bill. Around the end of the day my cousins and i went out back, we went on a hayride around the farm. As we were packin’ up to leave my step dad called.”
Me: “What did he say?”
William: “He told us our house was on fire. My mama got us into the car and we made it back in under 30 minutes (it was a 45 minute drive).
Me: would she have stopped for the cops?
William: “No. My mama don’t play about her dogs. She was worried about her babies and i was worried about my laptop cause without that i have no future.”
Me: What was the outcome?
William: “Well my mama had cleaned up grease earlier with a towel then threw it in her bathroom, and it caught on fire. Thankfully my step dad saw it and only a few clothes got burnt and the fire was put out in time. All the dogs were safe and my laptop was too.
That night mama and I had cocktails and decorated the tree.”
Me: Wow what a sweet ending.

A quick recap of last week, we finished building 1 of the walls for the small pavilion. Today we are going to start building the last wall, and benches for the pavilion. Hopefully, we get the ‘”go” to start digging this week! Stay tuned. Xoxo
