For us, we all decided to dress as our favorite person in the world. We could be something from celebrities to politicians.
Coincidentally we all came in as David Pastre, even the studio mascot!
Today we had ITC. It was a workday for our lamp designs.
Many of us are working with materials we are familiar with, and some of us are attempting new mediums. I’ve been struggling to nail down a design that I want to do, but, Skye helped me decide on a concept.
I was interested in an organic form and initially wanted to create a table lamp. While discussing the idea, I expressed my interest in creating sconces, as well. Since nobody else in my section is creating this type of fixture, I decided it was my calling!
My inspiration for my sconce is the Luca wall sconce, by ‘In Common’, and similar to my vase, I plan to mix a steel element with my casting material.
Tonight we will be hitting up the streets, trick or treating in David’s name. I hope everyone stays safe out there tonight!
