With a productive weekend we kicked Monday off with a small crew consisting of Kyle, Amanda, Jerome and Johnny heading out bright and early to start preparing the trellis trench to finally get some formwork put in. This consisted of checking the trench’s levels and flattening it out.
Around class time the rest of the crew showed up to continue figuring out the trench and also beginning work on the large slab. Halfway through class we realized that there was a bit of a mistake with the formwork we were going to use for the second pour of the trellis trench and the larger slab so half of the class headed back to the Cigar Factory to fix that. Kyle, Johnny, Amanda, Jerome, and I stayed at the site to finish the formwork in the trench. Racing the sun we were able to complete about 3/4 of the trench’s form work and are hoping for an equally productive Wednesday.
