Time flies when you’re having fun.

Happy Friday, everyone! Another week down and one week away to present our preliminary research. To begin with today’s blog, I would first like to thank The Charleston Parks Conservancy for taking the time and talking with us last week about the semester project. It was a pleasure to meet everyone, and we are looking forward to working with them for another exciting semester.

At the beginning of the week, we split into small groups. We started to gather necessary information about the site, history, and the conservancy. With our initial research, we are now beginning to go into depth about the conservancy needs and possible uses for the Horticulture Center within the West Ashley area. For the conservancy group, we have been mainly collecting precedents studies and understanding the conservancy goals. The conservancy has been extremely helpful in providing us with previous studies and possible precedents. Two of our group members have also visited the site and talked to Amanda to better understand the space we are working with. Our goal for today is to wrap up our research for an internal review on Monday. After our review, we will focus more on presenting the information graphically as a studio for the meeting next Friday.
