Transitioning to the Final Design Phase!

This week in studio, we will be kicking off our final design phase for the Conservancy of the Sea Islands project. It is an exciting time and we are ready to hit the ground running on this phase.

For the next week and a half, we will be working on merging the key concepts from each small group design which had positive feedback from the clients. There are some big questions we will be addressing this week such as should we design an elevated structure on a boardwalk system? What will the roof material be? How are we approaching flexibility within the stands?

We had a great time at our follow-up meeting with the Conservancy on Friday. Many of the Conservancy board members were able to join and share their thoughts on the work we had completed so far. It was incredibly productive and will hopefully give us a guiding light to move forward. Today we are comparing and analyzing the feedback we received from the board members on Friday.
