Cistern Yard Sketch Day

College of Charleston recognized as a Tree Campus

In Field Studies, we started our 3rd and final sketch zone for the semester. A lot of the zone covers the south end of King St. up to Calhoun St. We have all been excited for this zone, as there are many beautiful buildings to sketch all within walking distance. We all met at the College of Charleston’s Cistern Yard to introduce the new zone and get some sketches done. We are passed the halfway point in the semester, so many of us need to catch up on our sketches so we don’t fall behind.

In ITC, we have been introduced to our final project for the semester. Over the next 6 or so weeks, we will be individually designing a Little Free Library to benefit the community. These projects will be designed to be flat-packed, CNC’d, and installed on site simply. Each of the designs will be presented to the Charleston Library Society for feedback prior to fabrication. This project will be fun!
