We are looking to have our CD set sent out to John, our structural engineer, later this week which means its grind time in the studio! After spending last week getting the model generally set up in Revit, we welcomed the return of David today and started resolving some of the more complex details. Some of these items include rebar layout, knife plate orientation, and LVL thickness. David also had Lad and I attempt to shear a piece of rebar on the manual rebar bender for fun in the shop. It ended up taking both of our efforts combined (luckily, we have an electric one now!)

At work, I was able to join in on a charrette for a massive project that my team is undertaking. I’ve never had the opportunity to hand draw or ideate ideas in this volume professionally before, so it was an amazing experience. It also felt very cool to see some of my ideas and concepts seriously considered and discussed in the context of a 140+ million-dollar project. More than just the scale of the project, it was an incredible opportunity to be included in the earliest phase of a project which I had never experienced before.
