Inside 2 Meeting St.

Yesterday Carter and I headed down to South Broad st. to do some sketches for field studies. I had my eye on a house down there – 2 meeting street. It has this gorgeous bay window detail that I just had to draw. See below the final sketch.

As we were sketching someone came from the house and checked out what we were sketching, who we later found out was the hostess of the bed and breakfast that takes place in this house.

As we were about to leave he flagged us down and asked if we wanted a tour of the house – of course we couldn’t say no! The home had recently been redone, and we found out that Jared had worked on some of the drawings for this house at his internship last semester!! It was absolutely amazing inside and felt so cozy. When the home was originally built it only cost $75,000 and is now worth around 13 million.

Here are some pictures from inside.

The glass windows and details inside the home were so well executed and it is absolutely insane that this was built 1892.  As you can see, Jared did a really great job designing 😉
