Happy Monday! I hope everyone is enjoying their first few weeks of fall.
These past few weeks have been jam packed with iterations and problem solving and it all lead up to something we finally checked off our to-do list on Friday… submit for permits! If you’ve been following along, last week we met with Ken Granata who is the Chief Building Official. Following some feedback from him and the final stamp from our structural engineer, John Moore, our months of hard work was complied and we are patiently awaiting approval.
Our task of dropping off permits only took a few minutes, so the rest our afternoon was supposed to be spent learning how to weld. As you know, our studio is the very definition of flexible so when we found out that the cord for the welder had an issue, we taught ourself how to rewire cords. I’m not going to lie, I was extremely nervous that it might accidently catch fire or something but with a bit of teamwork, we were able to get things back to normal.
We’ve got a lot to look forward to this week with ordering materials, starting shop fabrication, and hoping to get on site when we come back from Fall Break. Wish us luck!
