Our predecessors were not joking when they said Studio V was a lot of overtime, but it’s doesn’t always feel like too much work. Our studio decided to gather on this rainy Sunday afternoon to resolve some final designs for our structure. Today was critical with starting our construction documents this week. The main topics of conversations (and debate) included the massing and materials of our fireplace, connections between our structural fireplace walls and trusses, columns ground interactions integrated benches, and everything in between. While there are still many unresolved things, we took a step forward and really solidified our design in our Sunday studio and set us up for success moving forward this week.
