Clemson Architecture’s Connection to the city:

Students from CACC & our main campus in Clemson S.C. tour the east central neighborhood of Charleston. Here we are discussing the city’s connection to the water and the potential to encourage ecological function in the urban environment.  This photo shows Newmarket creek at the base of the Ravenel bridge. Thank you to our knowledgeable professors and guest speakers that guide us around the city throughout the semester.  We don’t only study historic district, we also try to understand the intestacy of our entire city, and the complex challenges that Charleston faces now and in the future.
