With the fall semester starting up this late august, a few of us decided to catch a Charleston Riverdogs game, a minor league team for the Tampa Bay Rays. For a few of us, this was our first time catching a game since moving down to Charleston in January. Rooting for the home team of course, we got to witness an exciting game, while enjoying a footlong hotdog and boiled peanuts. Unfortunately, down one in the bottom of the ninth with two on base the Riverdogs couldn’t secure the comeback win. This didn’t bring down our night, as the atmosphere by itself was amazing.
Located right on the Ashley River, the stadium banks the marsh. As a result, the stadium gets an amazing sunset over the marsh for night games.
This night just boosted our excitement to continue our adventures in Charleston, and itched our minds to begin drawing up CDs and finally get on-site and turn our vision into a space that locals can enjoy, just like the Riverdogs stadium.
