Painting Time

This past week we spent time painting the metal pieces for our project. We started off by making sure we had all of the labels on each of the metal pieces we had account for.  After we checked and counted all of the pieces we started by checking to see which ones needed to be repainted. We had to repaint some metal parts, give some second coats, and others we had to change there color. It took time to make sure that all of the first coats dried before we did the second coat so that would not mess up the paint.

So fast forward to the weekend we could not do any work on site due to the past hurricane that happened last weekend. The ground was still wet so we shifted and focused on getting all the metal pieces out and painted so we could start moving wood in. So Saturday we woke up early and we had to prime certain metal parts and also touch up certain sections on the pieces. This was all in preparation so that the next crew that has to paint. The primer took longer to dry on certain pieces so on certain ones we had to wait longer than expected. While this was a busy week we got a lot of stuff done and a good push to go forward with the next phase in our project.
