With a permit in hand, we have hit the ground running getting the site prepped for what we hope to be our first concrete pour next week. Over the past two days (Monday and Wednesday) we have managed to break ground, re-string the site, and begin installing rebar.
Although most of what we are doing will never be seen, it is incredibly important to ensuring the success of the project. We have to be carefully calculated (within reason) to ensure that our slabs and footings are in the right place in order to accommodate our shelters and trellis which we have already prefabricated in the shop at the Cigar Factory.
Additionally, with inclement weather in the forecast, we have taken extra precaution to ensure that we will still be able to meet our goal of pouring concrete next week.
