After working on trellis for two nights we designed a detail that was a bit complicated. We decided to use composite decking for the horizontal part of the trellis. As the title says, the more you dream, the more you can do. It’s a dream that came to rescue us from all those complications. A solution that was simple and sound. The two layers of steel angle bracings, one below and one above the wooden beams/membrane. This saves a good amount of material and saves time in prefabrication. Together with the trellis drawings, we sent our preliminary structural drawings to structural engineer John Moore to review. We’ll continue working on the CD’s today based on John’s feedback.
