The Final Countdown

With only two days left before we present our final design to the students and staff at Frierson Elementary School, we are now headed in to arguably one of the most important weekends of the entire semester.

On Friday we came together as a studio and were fortunate to be able to present our designs to Jim Stevens (the director of Clemson’s School of Architecture) for feedback while he was here in Charleston. This was an important day for the studio because we were able to receive a lot of valuable critiques which have helped us to move the project forward.

Later that afternoon we all huddled together around a site plan and a roll of trace paper to begin the process of working through elements of our design that had yet to be resolved. With the entire studio now working as one mind, we were better able to start making decisions about the project that everyone could agree on.

With the weekend now upon us, it’s all-hands-on-deck so that we can get all of our designs, models, and drawings finalized and packaged together for our presentation at Frierson.
