Last class we met with Sandy and his surveying crew at the site. Sandy went out of his way to give us an in depth intro to the survey process and explained all the technologies that they utilize within the process. He discussed how the the technology has evolved since he first started in the 90’s. He and his team mapped out some “topo lines” on the bank of the pond and it helped put the topography change into perspective.
After Sandy showed us the whole surveying process, we let him finish up the survey of the site and we started to explore the site and discuss the potential options of each side. When we got back to class, we continued brainstorming and decided that our project will be on the west side of the pond. Finally, broke into pairs and started to come up with iterations for the design.
