As this week comes to a close and our research has been compiled, we are gathering for another Zoom meeting with the Charleston Parks Conservancy. Today, we will be going over our Research + Analysis Presentation in the Conservancy’s hopes for a Horticulture Center in West Ashley. We have worked hard for the past two weeks researching and considering the past and future of the Conservancy and the West Ashley area.
We have dove deep into researching the history of the area and realize that the past and future trends mean a lot. The area has grown vastly over the decades and we believe the proposed Horticulture Center in Magnolia Gardens will be a great source for education and growth for the community and the Conservancy. We have analyzed the site and understand the implications and affects this center will have on the community. We are providing precedents for the Conservancy to look at and hope to provide inspiration and enthusiasm towards the discussion of a Horticulture Center. We have looked into sustainable designs, the future of horticulture, and the growth of the Conservancy and the effects each of those will have on the community. We are excited to show everyone our work and hope that we all will one day experience a Horticulture Center in West Ashley.
