Bitter Sweet Ending

I guess it is really here. The end of a very unique semester. As my classmate DJ has written, it has been a very odd ride. We envisioned our time in Charleston a bit different. Granted, I think a lot of people envisioned 2020 to be a little different. Either way we are blessed to say we are all healthy and were able to put forth our best efforts in a trying time. This semester is definitely a memorable one. One for the books. I feel a special bond with the studio. I think we all grew together through this experience, even though we found ourselves separated abruptly by a global pandemic. We were able to connect digitally and still produce work we can stand by. I wish the best of luck to my classmates remaining in Charleston for the rest of the year. I hope the projects are able to come to life, as we spent countless hours discussing every detail in hopes of accomplishing our goals. I hope that moving forward, we left our mark on Studio V and the bonds in our studio stay close. It was truly a humbling experience and one which we all had to adapt and push forward. It wasn’t easy, but Charleston is known to be a challenging studio. We knew what we signed up for when we chose to come down here and we hopefully stepped up to the plate. I guess the future will determine that. As we say goodbye, we leave with fun memories. We came together in many ways and leave with new friendships and some even with new relationships. I would like to thank everyone at the CDC.C and the partners we were able to work with throughout the semester. I can speak for myself and my fellow classmates, in saying we have learned a lot and leave here as better designers and individuals.
