This past weekend a group of four studio members made the trip back to Greenville to continue work on the Crop Stop porch structure. There were several tasks that remained; the following are photos documenting the weekend.
Saturday morning, a great day for working outside.
Former studio V member Max Streeter showed up to give us a hand.
Using a palate to crate a jig for the chop saw. This was used to cut the deck boards at a consistent length.
Sunday, the weekend was turned upside down with 40 degree weather and a 8 hours of rain.
If it wasn’t for the roof that was completed in our lat trip, no work could have been completed on Sunday.
inverse wet pants!
The weekend was a success, considering the elements. We were not able to make the fast progress that we had hoped for on Sunday, but with warmer and dryer weather today we should be be able to finish the tasks that we came here to accomplish.
Special thanks to the Dias family for their extreme generosity in giving us a place to stay for the weekend.
Great pictures!
