At this point we have committed to individual Pulse Dome concepts and designs and are in the process of carrying out these designs in the form of digital and physical models, elevations, sections, diagrams, images and anything else that we feel will help demonstrate our concepts for our design review on Friday. Most of us have gone through multiple variations of our structures and have settled on designs that implement core ideas of radical sustainable living that Don ZanFagna found so promising and full of possibilities. As our inspiration, we have taken his concepts and attempted to apply them to build-able systems that allow architecture to be self relient in various ways.
Although we have a long couple of days ahead of us, I am anxious to see the presentations. With each student focusing on different sustainable structures and ways to create and harness energy and natural resources to utilize in everyday tasks, I’m excited to see what the other students have designed.
