3…2…1…

[3] FRIDAY: Fridays are usually the end of the work week however, for Studio V it is merely the beginning! (well, I guess the beginning was actually several weeks ago, but for the sake of the countdown…just go with it) We are all working very hard tonight to finalize any loose ends in regard to the overall scheme. This includes construction details, material choices, and any other decisions that are going to be critical to our presentation on monday. These are difficult times. A wk.5 (that stands for 1 and 1/2 weeks. I thought it was a clever way of abbreviating but after my explanation it doesn’t really work) of working through a rigorous group design process and it all comes down to tonight. Once these decisions have been made and the countdown is set into motion, there is no stopping it!

[2] SATURDAY: Now it is time to really pick up the pace. We have a long list of things that need to be accomplished before the review on monday and most of these things (in an ideal world…all of them) will be done by the end of the day saturday. This includes drawings, renderings, diagrams, models …tasty baked goods to entice the critics; ALL of these things are essential to having a successful presentation, and Saturday is the day to make it happen.

[1] SUNDAY: No turning back now. If we accomplished everything we needed to on Saturday, then we will STILL have a lot of work to do. Sunday will be spent finalizing the boards, finishing models, and anything else that needs to be prepared (or baked) for our review.

[0] MONDAY: BlASTOFF! Being prepared will make this day exciting. Not being prepared will make it terrifying. Either way there will be a lot of adrenaline in the room.

The countdown has started. Make sure you fasten your seatbelt.
