What is the best Shop Music?

With our Plymouth Park Design Drawings awaiting review from structural, Studio V has been working hard down in the shop on the Old Towne Creek Donor Wall this weekend. We have been sanding, routing, and staining like crazy, but are making great progress.

Lad, Hunter, and Liam staining beam pieces

Today we about finished the large front beam, we finished staining all the rafters and purlins, and cut and stained the pieces for the back beam. We were down stairs working hard Friday night, Saturday morning, and Sunday afternoon – putting in hard work now so we can enjoy our spring break in a week from now! We are all learning new skills and tools, I personally now know how to use the planer, joiner, and router. All of these skills we are learning now will only help us when we go to built our structure in a few weeks!

With all of this time in the shop studio V has been spending a lot of time together. Every day in the shop we are faced with an important question – what music are we going to play today? We have gone from 90s grunge, to modern country folk, to old hard rock. Personally, I am not a fan of some singer screaming at me on top of the noise of saws and sanders… so we have decided we want to make a studio shop playlist that we can all contribute too. I would bet you our range of music will get even crazier, but it’s fun – we get to know more about each other through our music tastes right? If anyone has any studio song suggestions, please let us know and we may add it to the playlist!

Wisconsin Meat and Cheese Store on James Island

Finally, as the studio’s token Wisconsinite, I was recently made aware of this Wisconsin Meat and Cheese store over on James Island. Naturally, I went immediately, and was very impressed! I learned that if Wisconsin was a country, it would be the 4th largest producer of cheese in the WORLD, after I believe the United States, Germany, and France. The state has more award winning cheeses than any other, and is the largest contributor to the nation’s cheese production. If you like cheese and want to support some local farmers up north, you should definitely check it out! Recommended by a true Wisconsinite!
