Grind Time before Show Time

Studio V has finally narrowed down on a design… all in due time for our presentation today! The team has been hard at work coordinating, drawing, rendering, and modeling the deliverables within a 24 hour window till review. Four total boards will be presented along with a physical model to the clients of the City of Charleston and potentially community representatives. The review today will spark a conversation and looking for feedback on not only if the proposed structure is properly supporting Plymouth Park, but also of structural integrity, chosen materials, and joinery methods.

Since we have had our heads down grinding so much, and lots of last minute production has been occurring things can get stressful and dysfunctional at times. Post review today we are going to meet as a studio to discuss our team dynamic and about how we can improve our communication, collaboration, and efficiency as a whole. Utilizing our reading discussions from our Com 1:1 course, we have been equipped already to facilitate a productive conversation! Increasing the efficiency of our studio dynamic will be crucial as we move into the detail and eventually (and not far) production phases of the semester.
