These past two weeks have flown by! This is the second week of our group designs. Each group has designed an iteration of our pavilion to be presented this Friday (AKA tomorrow)! We are currently producing our deliverables to communicate our designs to the Charleston County Parks. Each group is responsible for also building a physical model of their design at 1’-0” = ¼” scale. This is my favorite part of the process. I love model-making and having tangible work I can get my hands on.
Iterating as a group has been a learning experience. I could not have taken our original ten individual designs and morphed the successes of each into one thoughtful design in such a short amount of time without my team! All four of us played a significant role in identifying and strategically placing the site of our design and envisioning a satisfying user experience. I’m excited to see all three groups’ finalized work, and hopefully we can share our designs!
